I really need a random image order function. Is this not available? Seems to be a fundamental feature that I can't find.

There is no random image order function except for the images rendered by modules modules. The images delivered by the component are always ordered.

As of now I don't see the point in having a random image order. Paging would not work for example.

What do you need a feature like this?

I'm using it for my photography portfolio display. I'm always adding anew images and would prefer them to be mixed in throughout the gallery, instead of newest ones at the top.
