In the admin panels, I need to set the Default ordering to Date Descending, but it keeps going back to Order Desending.

Can you please advise where I can fix the ordering type.

Please see the screen print to explain what I am talking about.

I have been trying but I cant get this to stay on the changed DATE sorting order - It keeps returning to the ORDER option.

The process is

i) Login to Admin panel (I used Chrome & Firefox)
ii) Select Components - Event Gallery from Dropdown
iii) In Overview section, select Manage Events
iv) Change Order to Date - Leave Descending and 100 entries the same . screen updates accordingly.
v) Go to Overview - when I go back, it still shows as Date descending
vi)Go to another component, then go back to EG Events - still date descending
vii)Logout of admin
viii) Login to Admin panel (I used Chrome & Firefox)
ix) Select Components - Event Gallery from Dropdown
x) In Overview section, select Manage Events
xi) Option is now back to Order --- other options still set to descending 100

I understand the List Limit is controlled from the Global Configuration setting comes from.
Do you know where the "default sorting in Joomla" comes from, that you are picking up?
