I also like to know if you can put a script somewhere that disabling the function (save this). Thank you so much ¡¡

There is no build in feature which is able to do this. I personally don't see the point for doing it. People can still save the image somehow. Whatever they see one their screen is something they usually have already on their disk. Preventing right click is just rude and not a good user experience.

Here are some ideas to get the image even if one can't save it directly from the browser:

  • Inspect the source code (very easy with firefox and chrome
  • do a screen shot
  • scan the cache folder of the browser

The idea to disable key (Save Picture As) is designed for anyone who wants to download the photo with the PayPal system. Here's an example:

I totally understand what you try to achieve. But you have to understand that there is no way to prevent people from downloading any images they already see on their screen. That's the nature of the web. Adding a script which prevents right click is no solution but a usability issue. It's like a locked door in open space. There might be people who turn around if the noticed the locked door but more people will just walk around it.

Knowing that and you still want to go this path you can check this page: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/site-access/content-protection

If you don't need the social sharing you can add a .htaccess file to /images/eventgallery to prevent people from downloading the original files. The component never uses the original images but for social sharing. Instead it always delivers calculated, watermarkable thumbnails up to the size of 1440px. This is true for local files only.

Event Gallery only collects the orders. It is not responsible for fulfilling it. There is no build in feature like sending out the images by mail or via download link. Usually the original images are save and sound at a local hard drive so one needs to send them out manually anyways.

It is impossible to disable the print screen key. While it may work to block this key if the browser window is active it'll never work if it's not. The only way to prevent the download of images is to not put them to the internet. If you need to protect images do watermark them and/or upload only smaller thumbnails of them.

Ok. on the other hand, is when will the Event Gallery version 3.3?. You said that you would like to link improvements pictures once bought is that it? Or am I wrong? Greetings El Miércoles 21 de Mayo de 2014 17:27, Sven Bluege <sbluege@gmail.com> escribió:

Please don't mix up topics. I usually don't give timelines about releases.
