Hi Sven,

I manage our non-profit website (www.altovolumeaps.it).

I created a new event with Event Gallery Core 4.3.2: the folder is created successfully.

But when I try to upload I get an error as you can see in attachment.

Can you help me?

Please let me know.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi Marco,

this is a pretty old version of Event Gallery/Joomla/PHP. But I guess you know already ;)

Coming to the upload issue: Please enable the debug mode in the Joomla Global Options, try the upload again, do a screenshot of the error and disable the debug mode.

That will shed some light on that error.

Hi Sven,

I activated debug. In attachment the screenshot of the one image upload try.

Hmm... does the upload into existing folders/events, which already have images, work?

marco.laurito

Hi Sven,

I made some checks and I noticed that the images in attachments seem the cause of the issue. In fact I uploaded every else image with no issue (OK!).

Then, I am not able to understand why ONLY these images (in attachments) cause upload crash. I tried to change also their filenames but the upload issue remains.

Can you help me?

Please let me know.

Thank you!

How did you get those images? By the file extension, they are JPG-images, but their content is a webp-image. Please either rename the files or change the content.

You did not state the version of Event Gallery, but since you're using Joomla3, it is probably too old to support webp, so using plain JPEG-files would solve the issue.

marco.laurito

Hi Sven,

thank you so much!

I followed your instructions:

  • renamed jpg to webp
  • converted webp to jpg

Now it is all OK! The converted images has been uploaded successfully in the event.

Thank you again!
