#393 Not completing transaction in paypal and confirmation email in German

1. I have ran several test to make sure that my paypal and website are linked. However, I have yet to receive payment through my paypal.

2. My order confirmation emails are in German not English. How do I fix that?

Which version of Event Gallery do you use?

  1. Which Paypal method do you use? The basic one is very simple and should work out of the box. The Adaptive Payment plugin is way more complicated to manage since you need to create an Paypal Application and retrieve API access credentials for your account. Is the redirect to PayPal working? If so you configured the payment method in the right way. There is an paypal error log in Joomlas /log folder. I would like to have a look at it.
  2. Just the disclaimer is German. You can change it in the components options and add your ownn. Don't get confused by the empty disclaimer field. If it's empty the copy comes from the language files.

I did create an API for Paypal and followed your instructions in the manual. It does not redirect you to Paypal when finishing out the sale. www.portraitsbymiranda.com

I will look at the disclaimer again.

I have found the disclaimer and have changed it however when viewing it it becomes one big text doc

This editor field is not a WYSIWYG editor. You need to add some HTML-Tags to split this text up.

<br> for line breaks.
<p></p> for paragraphs.

This will help to avoid this large text block. It's not that convenient, I know. Maybe I'll revisit this in later versions.

Regarding your PayPal integration: please check the error log I mentioned? It'll help you finding the issue. The redirect will fail if you entered the wrong credentials. There are several pit falls:

Did you get the PayPal API key by mail?
Did you get the API Access credentials by mail?
Do you use the sandbox mode? Does the sandbox mode work at all?

For most of the users the PayPal Basic method is easier to use.

Please send me the paypal error log by mail if you still need help with this. Keep in mind this is a public ticket.

Yes i did receive all of the credentials. I just switched it over to basic.

And thank you for the HTML that is fixed now as well
