Hello, you can upload photos to a different folder?
if it is also possible outside of joomla?
you can select a folder of images without having to load them?
Thanks Max

sbluege
You can move the root. Have a look at his file for details: components\com_eventgallery\site\config.php

You you still need to place your folders with images within this single path. You don't need to upload them using the backend. You can upload via FTP and use the SyncDatabase-Button to make Event Gallery aware of those new/changes/deleted folders.

AMax
thank you. The config file is not located in the "site" folder, but in components \ com_eventgallery \ config.php.
you can not place it outside the root?
on the other domain, for example?

Thank you so much

sbluege
you can specific a local folder in this config file only. If you want to use remote images you can use Google Photos, Flickr or Amazon S3. On this page I already switched to Amazon S3 since my hosting provider allows just 10GB webspace.

Of cause there is no "site" folder :) That's my development structure. Sorry for confusion.

AMax
thank you very much for your availability.
the problem is that no longer works with google, at least with version 3.4. and so I decided to upload the photos to a folder

sbluege
Google Photos still works. Here is an example: https://www.svenbluege.de/pictures/event/svenbluege@WashingtonDC112012

AMax
Excuse me, I have the old albums on google and I have no problems. I uploaded photos into a new album and does not recognize it.
I read that in the transition from picasa photo did not work.
I uploaded photos, I creat the album, I shared on google +.
Where am I wrong?

sbluege
You need to make this album public. By default all Google Photo albums are private even if you share them. A good way to do this is the Picasa Helper https://www.svenbluege.de/picasa/v1.1/ which is integrated into Event Gallery 3.5 and newer.

AMax
excuse, but just do not understand.
The album is public and as well as in the image attached does not see it

Try to use the data which this helper page above provides.

AMax
if you use the user id and id album works, though not visible in the frontend. while if I use the name acount and album name does not work. why?

It used the helper, even if it does not work with Safari

AMax
I'm sorry to bother you, but my intention is to improve the component.
As it has already happened long ago

Backend looks fine. Seems you need to deal with those numbers now for google photos. Did you made sure there is no caching in the front end active? What is the url to this site?

>

AMax
http://www.paep.it/media/

sbluege
Can you check if you have some crazy url rewriting in place which prevents the event from showing up?
Do you use some kind of tags to let the event appear on this page?

AMax
I do not think I understand what you mean.
I do not think there are particular or rewiting tag

sbluege
The event with the id 101070593335356280745@6314238313670455649 is visible in the backend. It is published and shows that 22 images are available. Now we need to find out why it does not show up on the page you send.

This URL should display all the events you published: http://www.paep.it/index.php?option=com_eventgallery&view=events
But it gets redirected. Why?

AMax
Excuse me, but the wrong url.
The right one is http://www.paep.it/media/index.php?option=com_eventgallery&view=events

sbluege
That's a good reason.

I used your album here: http://www.svenbluege.de/demo2/index.php/component/eventgallery/event/101070593335356280745@6314238313670455649?Itemid=435

So picasa is not the problem here.

What is behind this url? http://www.paep.it/media/event/Cervinia_Avalanche.html At least the images look like the ones I see on my page.

sbluege
Another thing I can imagine: delete the folder /cache/com_eventgallery_picasa to clear the picasa cache.

AMax
as I said before the problem will not be with a user id and album id “101070593335356280745@6314238313670455649". The issue of whether the use of "aversamassimo@MaxiAvalanche_Cervinia_2016".
http://www.paep.it/media/event/Cervinia_Avalanche.html are the photos uploaded to my server.
The link you attached asks username and password ....;-)

sbluege
Sorry, the password thing that's true.

I guess for new Google Photos albums we need to use the numbers instead of aversamassimo@MaxiAvalanche_Cervinia_2016. Can you try another google photos album please?

As I said, the one with the id 101070593335356280745@6314238313670455649 works for me. Did you deleted that cache folder?

AMax
the problem to be with him "Maxiavalanche Cervinia 2016" and "Manomanouche"
Albums old have no problems "AlfonDJ_Vinilo_Forever" ....
Yes I deleted the folder cache.

sbluege
Since you can't solve it on your end and I have no other idea can you send me backend access credentials to svenbluege@gmail.com? I want to have a look at this.
