I had succesfully installed the event gallery component, but when I go to "Components - Eventgallery" , it didn't display the component, it showed " Server error 500". May I know how to solve this problem?

Are you really using Joomla 2.5.3? Please update the the latest 2.5 version first. Then increase your error reporting so we see a meaningful error message.
