Everybody will be able to see its contents. Do not include usernames, passwords or any other sensitive information.

I am trying to hide the event name from the page. I can remove the date but not the event name ?

Sure. Just add some CSS to your templates CSS file. There are no configuration options for this but CSS is very handy here.
