 Hi Sven,

I am considering to get a Event Gallery Extended subscription but I am still struggling abut some issues.

I have a newsportal in my hometown, at the moment I have 523 picture albums (+/- 85.000 pics) regarding all aspects of the village where I live online which I show by using my Google+/Picasa account. The page views however are not counted in my google analytics ans I need these to convince advertisers to make them advertise on
my news portal. This is the only income i have from the site since I don't charge for the pictures itself. I ony want to raise my page views to the max.
Is there a way that the picture views are counted using the Picasa or G+ albums once I use Event Gallery.
I have tried it now in the basic event gallery mode, but i still cannot find out where the views would become visible. There had to be a way to use G Analytics to count pic views but this is not working properly. Some pictures are viewed 2.000 times and Analytics give me a number of 36 views (?)
Would this be possible in the Extended version?

As a test i also tried to upload an album directly to y server (siteground geek account) but the pictures do not appear in the albums, they stay white placeholders with no picturs at all. Is there any solution?

In previous Joomla versions I used PHOWA Gallery, but I prefer Event Gallery for my Joomla 3.X versions.

Thanks for your advise.

I can't help you with the question why you get placeholders for local files because you simply providing any helpful information. I can't see any images on your site too. Did you checked FAQ? If you see no thumbs both in the back end and the front end please check for possible server issues. Opening such a thumbnail image in a new browser tab reveals sometimes useful information.

Besides the availability of different versions is the core component the same in the free and extended version. So if you can't get what you need with the free version you'll have no luck with the paid one too. If you want to increase your page hit count just use the pageable layout. This will help you out without doing anything. If you want to use the lightbox instead you need to create a JavaScript which tracks each click to one of the thumbs using the Google Analytics API.
