Hello,
question 1. how do I fix the picture thumbnail hight so that it is all the same (apart from the first lead picture)?
Right now the thumbnails load automatically and in some galleries the last thumbnails are very huge, depending on the display.
question 2. how can I make make all thumbnails square/same size?

  1. Set the Jitter value to 0. This will remove the randomness of the row height. The images try to form a complete block. Because of this the images in the last row are a "bit" larger. Event Gallery 3.3 will remove this behavior but I'm not sure if I'll revert this.
  2. That kind of layout is not available. All layouts do respect the image ratio. But try the grid layout. This might work for you.

So, to sum up, it is available to have the same hight of the rows, but it does affect the last row where I will still get one/two images much bigger than the rest?

Yes. Otherwise the last row is smaller than the others and does not form a complete block.
