On the left menu of the page linked above we are using a Latest Event Module "Owners Pictures" the images are not centred in the module (there appears to be a left margin of 7.5px set) but can't find where it's set. Any idea's on how we can get the images centred ?

Good work with the sliders, as you say the offset wasn't noticeable on a wide slider with several images in the row, was only when we looked at the narrow side bar slider with a single image that we noticed it.
We had noticed the old search plugins were still there as we had to disable them to get the smart search to work on the event gallery images, we had disabled them but I've checked and they are gone now. I did notice that 6.0.1 wasn't shown in Joomla, but it didn't expect to it to as it is a development update.
