#5020 Events do not appear in similar tags module

Hi Sven.

Some time ago, I have created some "similar tags modules" and placed them under articles. I remember that, in the beginning, also Events with the same tags appeared in the module. Now, I can't see them any more.

Only, articles appears. No Albums.

I checked the module settings, but I didn't find anything to change to solve.

Hey Fabio, I just tried it on my demo site. Showing Events works, but I have no idea why they do not show up for you. Also, I noticed that some newer Events will show up with invalid names like e{en_GB:foobar} instead of just foobar. So for now, I would mark this module as unsupported since it behaves differently than the Tags component. There Event Gallery items are shown with the correct name. The module is not calling content plugins. I solved the right names on the component with that.

Yes, it makes sense. I read: it will not work :-) I did some research in the meantime, and it looks like this is something that can be solved... but only with some dirty tricks. I think I'll refuse to go down this route for now. It this is a question of life/death for you, I we can talk. But I don't expect this ;-)

No, Sven. It is not a question of life or death.

Events are also linked inside articles, and I see that they get good hits anyway.

So, if you'll find a way to solve, it will be fine, otherwise never mind.

Well... you can try this module instead of the native one: https://www.svenbluege.de/joomla-event-gallery/eventgallery-download/event-gallery-tools/similar-tags I'll not ship this with Event Gallery, but for now, this makes it possible to have Event Gallery show up in the tag list. Do you mind trying it?
