Hi Sven,

I have a problem with private events. If I set the level to "registered" and connect with my super user account, I can't see the event, I need to add the registered level to my account.

In the event edit page, I set User Groups to Registered.

The "Registered" level includes registered, manager and super user.

Is this my mistake?

Kind regards,

Robert

Hey Robert,

The "Registered" group does not include Super Users. A super user is usually not in the Registered group. In this case, just allow access to Super Users and Registered users.

Usually in Joomla! when the registered user is set to allow access to some datas, all other groups (except for the public and guest grpoups) have the rights to access these data.

I'm using Joomla! for 19 years and usually, for example, I add a "connection" menu link for guests and a "disconnection" menu link for registered users. When I connect as a super user the disconnection link is displayed, I don't need to add registered to my account.

If I understand correctly, you are using the group rather than the access level, unlike what we usually see (in articles, for example). OK, I will change my selections.

Thank you for your explanations.

Yes, for the access levels, this is different. I use user groups to make it easier to add something like "all people from class 2025".

You're right, using groups makes more sense. I hadn't used access restrictions for my previous galleries and I didn't think it through properly. ;)

Thank you very much!

👍Or I'm doing things differently ;) Alright, then I can close this ticket.
