I'm trying to find where I can set the date format to be month, day, year instead of day, month, year on the photo gallery page of a site I'm preparing to launch for a client.

I found a ticket in the search about JHTML, but I didn't understand it. I could not find a setting in the Event Gallery Options or in the documentation.

I hope there's an easy way to get this to display the way my customer would like.

Thank you,
Ernie

Hi,

the date is rendered by Joomla. It uses the localization key DATE_FORMAT_LC1="l, d F Y" to format the date. You can change this with a language override.

Hi Sven,

I installed the English USA language file and made it the default, which seems to have worked - I'll have to make a note of that for the future - it's easy to forget when it's not something I do very often.

Thank you,
Ernie

Yes, this is a way better option since there are multiple language-specific date keys. Now you've got them all right.
