The social share icon, when clicked, only reloads the image. It does not show the sharing of ions.
This link is to our newest gallery, but the problem is with all of our galleries. This used to work back in October, but not now.

Hi,

that looks like a bug. I uploaded a fixed version here: https://www.svenbluege.de/joomla-event-gallery/eventgallery-download/event-gallery-bleeding/eventgallery-3-10-21

Thanks, Sven.
When checking out the functionality, clicking on Download only opens the photo in a new window. The user then has to know to right-click and Save as in order to download the photo. Didn’t this use to open the explorer download interface?
Plus, the email icon doesn’t bring the photo ID into the message. Only the subject line appears. This was testing with the latest Outlook.

Since the image is hosted on Google, they chose hat happens if you open the image. With the old Picasa connection it was a download, now you see the image in a new tab.

Regarding the mail icon: I'm not aware of any change in that direction. It always contained the subject and the link.

The issue is with the newer gallery from this year that is using the Google API.
See the screen shots. One is from the most recent gallery (March 16th, 2019) and the other is an older one from 2014. I've also verified that all the other years work, too. It's only the new 2019 gallery that doesn't format the email share option correctly.

sbluege
So we're both right. It does not work and I did not change anything :)

The problem is the ampersand in your title. I uploaded a fixed version which solves this.

😊
I also noticed – as shown in the screen shots – that the older one (that works) strips the signature line(s) from the email compose window and the new one (that doesn’t work) leaves the signature line(s). This might be something to look at.

You can get a body text or the signature, but not both. Since the link is part of the body, the signature is gone.

That makes sense, but at this time, we need the link to ne in the body of the email for the new gallery(ies) using the Google API.

Did you install the latest version I uploaded? From what I see you're using an older version. With the latest, you'll get the subject and the link in the body.

sbluege
There are three versions available. All the three have the same date :) Just grab the latest one.

btw, please answer directly on the website. I had to disable the "answer by mail" feature.

Looks like all is good to go - right now, anyway - until Google changes something. LOL
Thanks again for all that you do with this awesome software and for the great support. If everyone supported their products like you do, my job would be a lot easier.
Have a good rest of your Thursday night!
