 Hi Sven

I'm having problems with display of Events on my template. On both mobile and desktop devices the display is not truly responsive when displaying multiple images. An example is shown in the attachement. Here, I added a module as a sidebar to see how this affected the display. As you can see, rather than organise the photos to fit the available space, it simply truncated photos.

With single images it seems OK.

Any ideas?

Dave

Sure. You're using a very basic thumbnail layout. Please have a look at the module configuration to select better layout.

HI Sven

Sorry, it's not the module, it's the component. The module just highlited the problem as it also affects the component display on a PC, If I remove the module the images look OK on a desktop but the first image is always truncated on a mobile device. Check it on your phone, you'll see what I mean.

I guess what you might say is that I need to use one of the other display options for the gallery view, if so, could you tell me which ones are responsive?

I may have sorted it Sven. I particularly like the Events - Pageable List option and that was the one causing the problem, What I did, and I have no idea why it might work, is changed the parameter "Height of the first thumbnails" from 2 rows to 1 row and that seems to have solved the problem.

If you know why it might be helpful to know.

I see. Please try the setting for the height of the first row. It is set to 2 by default. You want to set it to 1. You can find this setting at the menu item and in the components settings.

If you have a value larger than 1 set, cropping of the images will happen to fit them into the layout of the first n rows.

Hi Sven

That issue is solved. Thanks for the confirmation I was on the right track.
