Good afternoon, Sven. Updated Joomla from version 3.6.0 to 3.6.2. There was a problem. The gallery is displayed. It's all good. I cannot see a photo taken from the gallery and put as the photo to the article. Before upgrade Joomla everything was fine. I used to take photos of eventgallery folder and inserted as a separate photo. Now all of these photos are not shown. Sincerely, Elena. What links to give?

You ran into a security feature I guess. Event Gallery places .htaccess file in the /image/eventgallery folder and its sub folders. Just delete them if you don't want to protect your image and use the option in the components options to disable the generation of those htaccess files (check the image tab).

Thank You, Sven. I deleted the file .htaccess in the folder images/eventgallery. Photos began to appear. How bad is it that I removed .htaccess? I had not noticed before, was this file there. You did this in the latest version?

Strangely, the photos are displayed all except for one. Not showing photos from the latest added galleries. Do not understand anything.

Did you turned the image protection off? Otherwise those .htaccess files will be added if you upload new files.

This kind of protection is useful if you want to protect your image from direct access. If you want to sell them, it's a good idea if people can't download the original files.
