HI Sven, Long time no speak - I hope you are well.

I have been monitoring Google Photos / Picasa demise over the last few months and was wondering if you have an update.

If I create shared Albums in Picasa Web Albums, then they are visible and can be automatically found (also in 2.1.5 / Joomla 3.4.1), but if the albums are created in Google Photos, then they are not visible.

This is going to cause problems for my users as I cant work out how to connect to these Google Photo albums - I was wondering if you could please advise me how I should be doing this

I was looking at the latest version, but that also doesnt look like that is possible to connect to Google Photos either - there is a suggestion of a Google URL in the URL Helper entry, but I cant get that working and so dont know if that is supposed to do the same thing ?

Thanks for your advice ot roadmap?

Google Photos has no API. We're still using Picasa Web API. You might want to have a look at this page:

It contains a link to the new album picker which can modify the visibility of an album as long as google does not publish the new Picasa Web API.
