Would ever be possible to upload photos from a site different other than Google Drive?; I´m thinking of One Drive from Microsoft, as I got 1 Tera out of being Office 365 member.

Event Gallery 3.5 contains Flickr support for public picture sets.

Nice feature but does not address my concern; uploading from One Drive is (or not) a future option?

It's not an option. A remote service needs to be able to resize images. A plain storage service can't do that.
