 Trying to get the event into an article.
Just showing it as a GRID view linked to the Event category so
i entered this syntax as instructed via the editor plugin

{eventgallery event="foo" max_images=4 thumb_width=75}

but nothing works. There is nothing showing up
 do i have to?
ok HI!!

Are you sure nothing happen? Do you see at least the tag you added? If so make sure the content plugin is enabled and your editor does not encode the quotes.

Another thing: there is no content plugin in Event Gallery 3.2.3 since it's the free version. Please use Event Gallery 3.3.0

antifm
i am using E Gallery 3.3.0
Download the attachment
there youll see a screen shot of Event Gallery as a component in my Extensions manger
At the bottom of the list youll see Gallery 3.3.0

ok HI!!

That's great. So be more careful filling in the version number next time please.

Since the plugin is there and enabled you can start answering the questions from my last post. Did you see anything in the front end?

I found something
the module DOES have something displayed in it but its WHITE TEXT on a white background.
Now thats very strange because i have no settings in the template to display that way

On this page
http://cathyrosselli.com.s33727.gridserver.com/

when you scroll way down, youll see a WHITE BOX after all the photogallery images.
If you see the words "Meet Cathy Rosselli "
Then you need to look just above it.

THere is a module and its all white (1000px wide) ruffly

Inside of it are these two links in WHITE
" gallery history 3 "
" Chrissy and Lexi "

I suppose they are

gallery history 3
Chrissy and Lexi

I clicked the first link but it just reloads the front page
Same with the second link

What i dont understand is
Link #1 goes to "http://cathyrosselli.com.s33727.gridserver.com/36-site-tools/54-gallery-history-3"
Link #2 goes to "http://cathyrosselli.com.s33727.gridserver.com/36-site-tools/49-intro-page-demo"

Im sure you see whats happening there. Instead of giving me the EVENT i want to appear "the one i published 3 events back" its just giving me some article title link?

 do i have to?
ok HI!!

This white box is the latest news module. This is not an Event Gallery module. Is it possible you mixed up the module types here?

highly likely lol !
Let me take a look in the backend again and see whats up
but first let me see if i am ordering this up correctly

The reason for doing this is i need the Latest Event Module to appear in that space on the template. But there isnt a proper module position left to use so i need to call it through an article..so here we go

1) Create a new "Event Gallery - Latest Event Module" (according to the description: Shows latest images:)
Ok this must be the right one. And the Module ID# = 333

2) Set it to show images from 3 events ago - which in its settings is " History Position = 2 "
3) Set it for any position not used or one i make up. "top_row4_1"
***That position i typed above does not exist for use in this template***

NOW GO TO ARTICLE MANAGER
1) Create an Article: "gallery history 3" and the ID for this article = 54
2) Use the Event Gallery Editor Plugin button below the content box to create the syntax.
This is what i get:
Select Event = Newborns
Attribute = Images
Image Modes = Linked to Event Page
Thumb Width = 450
Max Images = 20
Offset = 0
Click INSERT TAG
{eventgallery event='Newborns' attr=images mode=link max_images=20 thumb_width=450 offset=0 }

***When i click the Toggle Editor Button i can see that this is added to begining and end of syntax
<p>......</p>

am i missing something?
Is that
<p>......</p>
the part thats messing me up?
If so how do i stop this? Its been a long time since i had to make that adjustment so i really dont remember
 do i have to?
ok HI!!

sbluege
Modules and plugins do have nothing to do with each other. You can do whatever you want with those modules. This will have no influence on the content plugin.

Can you send me an url to a page where you think you added a content tag like {eventgallery ..} to please?

antifm
actually, i got it working just now
because of something you asked earlier. It helped me find the crossed information
 do i have to?
ok HI!!
