 Hi ,
I try to create multilingual event galleries according to your manual, but unfortunately I didn't see my translation on the front end, can you help me ?
I create cs-CZ.override.ini file in:
- root/language/overrides/language/cs-CZ.override.ini

and I also try create cs-CZ.com_eventgallery.ini
- root/language/cs-CZ/cs-CZ.com_eventgallery.ini
- root/language/overrides/language/cs-CZ.com_eventgallery.ini

but without any effect.... :(

thanks

Peter

The file paths do look okay. Did you switched your front end into the correct language?

domeny
yes I switched frontend and also backend to default language Czech ...
Joomla is latest stable version 3.3.6

So that should work.

Can you try to put this language file to components\com_eventgallery\language\cs-CZ\cs-CZ.com_eventgallery.ini please? In addition you can try to enable the language debugging to find out which file is used. Please let me know about your findings.

finally it is not working :(

It seems you're still working with the en-GB locale. Please make sure you switched to cs-CZ. Does the debug log shows any reference to cs-CZ?

domeny
I'm not sure how to switch it,because I do everything I hope.

I just checked your site. If I switch the front end to the cs-CZ locale, your custom translations seems to load. But there are some parsing issues mentioned. Can you please check them? Maybe this is another reason why they do not load.

My screenshot proves that your language files are loaded of the language context is set to cz. Please note the URL.

Your screenshot of the back office show that you're in a en-GB environment. Please check the language preference your for your admin user and chose the right language if you login to the back office.

here is my translation file for eventgallery, I just take english file and translated it to CZ language

Every value has to start and end with a double quote. But your file looks like this:

=“Odoslať"

That should work better:

="Odoslať"

You're not using Word to do the translation, do you?

domeny
No I do it in windows notepad :(
OK, I changed it right now but still without effect :(

 keke

sbluege
Nothing changed because you did not follow my recommendation. You still use an invalid syntax. Please use double quotes only to wrap the content for a language key. After replacing “ with " I was able to use the language file. Please find the fixed version attached.

Hi,
thanks for quick and very professional support.
Now it is working in both languages /EN,CZ/.
Good luck,

Peter
