Hi, I found and bought your great extension and I love it. I'm developing a website for a photographer and he is very excited about people can order prints and / or buy them online via PayPal or pay at the shop.

I tried to set 2 payment methods:
1. Paypal (someone can order prints and pay online, asking for shipping or not).
2. Cash with no shipping, getting the photoprints when he pays at the shop.

I tried to set 2 shipping methods
1. Shipping via ordinary mail - costs € 6.00
2. No shipping, getting the photoprints when he pays at the shop.

The customer has to choose theese options, but I see the option No shipping grey (not selectable).
Maybe I'm wrong somewhere... Ii costs 0.00. Could be that?
There is any way to turn around this and order prints (paying in advance or at the shop) and get the photoprints at the shop?

If you figure what I'm trying to get, what is the best way to set it?

Thank you in advance
Paolo

Did you mark your image type as "digital"? If so, remove those flags. If the cart contains only digital items, a digital shipping method is necessary.

infoweb
All the image types are set on "Is digital - NO"
Do you need access to the website?
Let me know
Thank you
Paolo

that would be helpful.

I open a private ticket and close this

It's the other way around. You have only a digital shipping method which can't be used with non digital items.

infoweb
That's true.
I did that trying to find a solution for people coming to the shop to get the photoprints.
Assuming that my attempt is the wrong way... which is the correct way to do this?
You are free to set that on the website in the best way, or drive me step by step, if it's possible.

thanks

That is not hard. Just create a shipping method and name it something like "in store pickup". You can also setup a payment method "pay on pickup". This will allow people to collect the images they want and grab them in your store.

infoweb
That's fine. It's work! thanks a lot.

So: how can I set Rule and Data fields inside the Surcharge details to set a minimum total amount for shipping?
EG: order € 10.00 minimum
Inside the online manual this is not well explained.

sbluege
I guess you mix up things now. There is no minimum order value.

But you can add a surcharge which applies if the subtotal is lower than 10 €. Just create the surcharge and hit the save button. Now you'll get an additional configuration tab which allows to set a minimum/maximum value.

infoweb
Thank you for your always useful answers.
I tried to do that, setting a € 5.00 surcharge for order less than € 12.00
I got the code in the Data field and a 0 in the Rule field.
But trying to make an order nothing happens.
Do I miss something?
Thanks a lot

sbluege
That's what you want, but not what you did :)

You configured the surcharge to apply if the subtotal is between 12 and 200€. To min=0 and max=12 instead.

Since there is no relation between shipping/payment and surcharges you can't apply this surcharge for special shipping methods only. It's currently all about the subtotal or the number of items in the cart.
