#740 Watermark not showing in Internet Explorer

Hi, I am using Joomla 3.3 and just bought the latest version of Event-Gallery.

Watermarks are working fine on Firefox etc. NOT on the famous Internet Explorer (version 11.0.9600.17107)

To (at least) prevent download I'm also missing the blocking of "right mouse click" (I know there are other ways to download anyway if some one really wants to)

I will not implement any magic right click prevention. It does not help in any way. Users can simply hit the PRINT key to get the image. Or they press F12 in some browsers and get the image url very easily. Only users who like to open sites in a new tab or use the context menu in any other way are handicapped. Uf you really need something like this just check the JED for plugins. There are a couple of them. But in the end the only way to protect images is to not upload them :)

Maybe I should write this into the manual since so many people as for it. Or I can use this public ticket as reference ;)

But back to the watermarks. They are part of the image and not rendered using HTML or CSS. The browser and the server caches the thumbnails once they have processed them once. If you change the watermark settings you need to clear the browser and the server cache.

Ok, thanks a lot for the fast reply. ... and as I forgot to mention for the very nice piece of work!

I did all the server cache etc. before posting.

As I said. Mozilla is working perfect, but not IE, IE seems to ignore watermarks.

As to "right click" if the watermark is working on all exploreres I don't need right click. :-)

IN IE ... Strangly some jpgs show watermarks and some don't to be presice! All jpgs where uploaded at the same time.

Maybe a note:

I got it working perfect on all explorers with EVENT - GRID LIST

The problem returns on EVENT - PAGEABLE LIST.

Please clear the server and the browser cache. Event Gallery offers a button "Clear Cache" which you can use. Or you empty the /cache folder of your Joomla installation manually.

I had cleared ALL cache at least 10 times, the two jpg's I sent you show the difference after clearing cache .... anyway, today it all seems to be working with no changes and no further cleaning up.

As I mentioned, great work and thanks for the help!
