What has changed in between? Did you do any updates? Did you restore the database from an old backup?

I log in saw the joomla update button and press that...after the update i went to add a new gallery and keeps asking for a password hint

Okay. Since we already had a topic where I suggested some ways how to fix SQL issues I would like to provide another solution.

Do you think you can uninstall the Event Gallery package (Not only the component!) and simply reinstall it? Please keep in mind that you will lose all data you entered in Event Gallery. Just local images will remain on your webserver.

If you use local images: You would need to click the "Sync Database" button to get your events and images back. You just need to add the necessary descriptions.

Okay. So we try to use SQL. The password hint was introduced with Event Gallery 3.4. more than two years ago.

You can add it by executing this SQL:

A LTER TABLE `#__eventgallery_folder` ADD `passwordhint` text AFTER `password`;

Please replace #__ with your database table prefix and remove the space in "A LTER".

You don't need to code. Please ask your hosting provider how to execute SQL. Usually, there are tools available which allow working with the database directly.

Will do..im going to contact them right now

I can help you with that too. Just send the necessary credentials (Joomla Login, Access to hosting account) to svenbluege@gmail.com.
