This morning I brought up my site and everything was fine. I added a new album and uploaded pics to it and published it. Now when I check the album page on the site is fine but where the articles reference images from galleries, those are not working. I have a number of them on the home page. As you can see, the photos from the album on the Photos page is fine but wherever else those pics are used, they don't show up. Any help would be much appreciated. Also other images show fine. Only ones having the problem seem to be those uploaded by this plugin.

You stumbled upon a security feature. If you upload images, a .htaccess file is placed in those folders to prevent direct access to those files.

You can temporary delete those files but they'll come back if you perform some actions on this event. A better option is to grab one of the thumbnail URLs. This has the benefit not misusing the original file as a thumbnail. Just right click a thumbnail in Chrome, click "Inspect Element" and check the background image of the img tag.
