Im having a problem. I have 2 sites running this version. One is working awesome. The other is having a problem that I cant figure out. I just started using this software so im testing it out before I buy it. I really like it so far, but I would like to get it working on the other site first.

The problem I am having is this:

It appears to work fine at first. I added all of the categories I wanted to use. I went to add the events and the Manage Events page comes up, but when I click "New" if routes me to a blank page.

Not sure where the problem is. Can you please help?

Smooth1SITF
Just to add, its working great on the other site I have. Same Event Gallery version, same Joomla version.

Two things:

  1. Update your version of Event Gallery. The current free version is 3.2.3
  2. There are actually no blank pages. Please increase the Joomla Error Reporting Level to reveal the error message.

Smooth1SITF
I updated the package, it did not resolve the problem

Where to you increase the Joomla Error Reporting level at to see this error message?

sbluege
Open the Joomla Global Configuration and switch to the Server tab.

Here is what it is showing when I try to access it:

So we've got the issue. Seems like two components use the same model names. But I have no clue why this is a problem since they are independent components. Are you able to work with the com_dtregister component or do you get the same error?

Smooth1SITF
I'm able to work with it but there is some errors reported in the log. But I am able to use it.

I am planning on deleting the DT Register component because we cant get any support form them - Biggest waste of money we have dealt with.

If I delete it, what would be affected here on EventGallery?

sbluege
Of cause this will affect Event Gallery. It'll start working magically :)

Smooth1SITF
Wow,

Presto magico it works. Thank you very much for your help!

Smooth1SITF
t did however delete all of the categories I had already built when I deleted DT Register. Funny
