Hi Sven.

I upgraded my website to J4, and everything went well with Extended Gallery.

But, I used an akeeba backup of my site to do so, which doesn't include heavy folders as "Eventgallery" ones, in which I have many GB of pictures.

Now, I have the problem to transfer them to new website.

Downloading VIA FTP on my PC, and then uploading them to new site folder can be an option, but it would require lots of time.

I am trying to use file manager in my Host Provider control panel of my website, but I am experiencing Server timeout problems, if I proceed with a bulk transfer from a folder to another (all inside the same root).

I will contact my provider, but if you have any suggesting, it would be useful.

Moreover, do I have to transfer also all the files inside "Eventgallery_generated" folder?

Thanks. Fabio

Hi,

If you generate your thumbnails automatically, which is the default, you don't need the generated-folder.

You could also use ftp to copy the images via ssh, but I guess your Provider might have other ideas, too.

Thanks. At least, now I know that I don't have to copy the generated folder...

When I migrated my site, I used SSH and a SFTP connection to copy over the stuff from server to server. That was pretty fast.
