Hi,

I would like to use the Paypal Adaptive Payments method but cannot follow the steps in the Manual to establish the App (https://apps.paypal.com) returns a domain error, and the developer hyperlinks return a 404 error.

Can you advise if alternative links are available or if this method is no longer supported by PayPal?

Thanks

[Update - just had a message from Paypal saying adaptive payments is no longer supported and will not work :( - might be worth updating the manual.

Also, I tried the Braintree method - which works brilliantly in Sandbox - but you cannot get an account to go live unless you are trading at more than £150,000/Yr!]

Hi Phil,

This way of adding PayPal is deprecated: https://developer.paypal.com/api/nvp-soap/adaptive-platform/ I'll make it in the component. I was not aware of the braintree limitation, interesting. Anyhow, both methods are only in there because I added them in the past. Please use PayPal Basic (basic is not bad in this case!) or Stripe. I like personally like Stripe more.

Thanks. The Braintree limit doesn't appear to be advertised.  If you attempt with a lower amount it's automatically rejected and they don't even let you know. I had to call to find out what was going wrong. That's when they told me. I'll check out Stripe Thanks 😊

I updated the manual for Braintree and PayPal Adaptive for the next release. Both are marked as deprecated now.  Thanks again for the hint!
