Hi Sven. With Eventgallery, it is possibile to share on social a single picture. I tried to share a whole album, using social sharing buttons installed on my website, but I do not get an useful result (no cover images, shown). Could you create a proper tool?

If you share the whole album, you basically share the URL to the current page.
Facebook will pick up the main image of the event + title + description. What do you see?
Ok, it works. There was some error in my previous attempt, due to some internet connection problem.
I have also understood that I have to add a proper metadescription, if I want to have something related under the main image.
