 Hi Sven,
I'm translating the strings.
I created the folder fr-FR in the components/com_eventgallery/language/
duplicated the en-EN
and start translating all the stuff.
Everything works properly expect (as I could see until now) the
COM_EVENTGALLERY_PASSWORD_ENTER_PASSWORD constant
I can put anything in it the site's still displaying the english sentence.

I don't think is the cache because if I make changes in the en-EN file for this constant they appear at each reload.

Have you any idea?

Best regards,

Nicolas

Hi,

which text do you see? Do you already have a language override for this key? You can try to search through all *.ini files on your server. Maybe this one key is hidden somewhere else.

ACA
Hi Sven,
As I wrote I see only the english sentence: "To access the event "NAME_OF_EVENT" you need to enter a password.

And if I make any modification in the en-EN.ini file for this constant I can see immediately the change
but non in the fr.FR.ini file ONLY for this constant
I cn change anything else that works and I tested intensively with constants appearing before of after the COM_EVENTGALLERY_PASSWORD_ENTER_PASSWORD (line 265)

Here is my file

I see. This ini file contains some errors. You can turn on the language debugging in the Joomla! global options to see them. Right now I see this:

....com_eventgallery.ini : error(s) in line(s) 57, 97, 138, 350, 351, 352

I didn't know this debugging feature in Joomla. That's cool!
Thank you very much one more time, Sven. And sorry for my ignorance!

No problem!

Does it work now?

ACA
Hi Sven,
Yes it works nicely. And thanks to you I've discovered the overrides system and the ability to manage the substitutions in the back end (without taking risks of breaking the .ini files!)

Now the problem is to understand the email templates! But it's for a new ticket!

Best regards (and see yo soon on the new ticket ;-))
