 Hello

Sorry to bother you, but I couldn't find this on forum nor in manual.
I have 2 issues.

I have 9 events (galleries) with 20ish photos in each.
All in same category - Photos
No Cart, no comments, Ive set your gallery to work as plain gallery only.

Menu Item Type - Categories list
Menu item name: Photo gallery
Alias: photo-gallery
Category - Photos (all photos are in same category)
Event layout: - Squares

1. When I open Photo gallery menu item and when opening any gallery this is the path:

www.ourwebsitename.com/photo-gallery/event/sport.html

How to remove /event/ part from the path?
With /event/ in path visitors will think that this is events, but this is only photo gallery, so it's confusing.
is it possible to remove /event/ ?
Or at least to rename it into /gallery/ or something more appropriate?

2. Continued from above, when in specific gallery when hovering above thumbnails, status bar shows this rather long urls for full images, such as:
www.ourwebsitename.com/components/com_eventgallery/helpers/image.php?&mode=full&folder=sport&file=sport_5_20110305_2067044343.jpg

I'd like to hide these non SEF urls with cms type revealed and component name revealed and folder name revealed
Is it possible to hide /components/com_eventgallery/helpers/?

PS: I would like to avoid using 3rd party SEF components for this

Thanks,
Regards

Hi,

the term "event" is necessary in URL if they define a sub view. Otherwise the component would not know what to show.

The URL you're referring to is the urls for the thumbnails. There is no way to change this. It should actually not be necessary since users usually don't seem them in the browsers address bar.
