Hi. I set Exif Data in order to be shown both on global options and on menu item settings (Event list). In pictures from Google photos, Exif data appear regularly. In pictures from local folder do not appear at all. Can you help me to understand why?

Thanks

sbluege
Do you local images contain EXIF data? Can you attach an example file please?

ita4012
It is the same doubt I had, but in attachment you can check a local folder picture downloaded after simulating a buying process.
It contains all exif data.

This image contains EXIF data. Can you check a database table please? Can you check the #__eventgallery_file table for this file? Do you see any exif stuff there?

ita4012
I checked (see file in attachment, first rows). Exif data for DSCN1240 picture seem to be there...

Here you have the attachment

Fine. You can turn off the EXIF display at the components options and the menu item. The menu item would overwrite the components options. Please have a look at the menu item configuration. Did you switched the EXIF display off there?

ita4012
Sorry, but it is not clear to me what I have got to do. Exif data now are swtiched on both in the menu item settings and in the component option. Where do I have to swith them off?

sbluege
Can you send me the url to the page where you want to see EXIF data? If it is possible please send backend credentials to svenbluege@gmail.com so I can have a look. That should save both of us some time.

sbluege
I guess I found it. The EXIF data in this image can't be read by the EXIF library I'm using. Because of this the fstop value is missing. The code does not show EXIF data in this case.

ita4012
Ok. Thanks

sbluege
It should work with another camera type, right? Is displaying the exif data crucial for you?

ita4012
No, it is not crucial. It only adds more information about the picture

In the developer download section you can find a new build of version 3.6.5 which adds support for your images.

It supports the fstop and uses the FOCAL_LENGTH_IN_35MM_FILM for the focal length so the EXIF data for your camera should look much better.
