I have just installed Event Gallery extended after checking the free version. It looks very good so far, but I am struggling with two issues. I'll ask one here and one in a separate message.

I have set up PayPal. The basic system works. I tried the adaptive alternative and the system says that it is sending the order, but nothing happens. I assume that it should go to the PayPal server in the same way. Is there any point in using the adaptive system if the other one works? I downloaded and installed the PayPal parameters. They all look good except for the API credentials. The PayPal web site just gives fixed text for this and only says that user, name, password and signature are needed.

Finally, why does there need to be a value in the detail fields? When this option comes up it puts (£0) after the name and it looks as if the cart value is zero, when it appears to refer to a card surcharge.

Please stay with the Paypal Basic payment method if it works for you. The older PayPal Adaptive implementation is not easy to use and just included for legacy reasons.

The cart calculation shows the different costs for shipping and payment. So if payment is free you'll see a zero but the order total should be clearly not zero.
