Cannot add any albums from Google photos.
Go to
Manage Events -> New -> Google Photo Images -> Album selector

pop up window comes up with list of albums, I click on [select] and nothing happens.

Added albums a while ago from Picasa using album auth keys.

PHP Version7.0.22-0ubuntu0.16.04.1
Installed Event Gallery Package Version3.7.10 (build 7ad0a30)
Database Schema VersionTarget Version: 3.7.3_2017-08-04

Hi,

what exactly does "nothing happens" mean? Is the popup closing? Do you see JavaScript errors in the browser console?

Muttley
No pop up window in browser, button just changes colour and that's it.
Did find this error, after pressing F12
SCRIPT5: Access is denied.
File: index.html, Line: 1, Column: 1

sbluege
I see. I just checked my release notes. This issue is fixed in the next release. For users with a subscription, there are already build which work. But this is no help for you.

Until the next release, you can copy the necessary data from https://www.svenbluege.de/picasa/v1.2/

Does this work for you?

Muttley
more information on error

SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'startsWith'
File: EventgalleryPicasa.js, Line: 9, Column: 9

sbluege
I guess this is just a follow on the original issue. The old selector was hosted on my server which does not longer allow embedding content as iFrame. So I moved the selector page somewhere else. This is what the next update will fix.

Muttley
Still can't get it to work.

Also when I go to settings & click on [Get google auth token] is it supposed to enter a token in the empty box when completed?
if so, then that does not work either

sbluege
This feature is unrelated to the album picker and should work.

Yes, the field will be populated automatically. Can you describe in detail what happens? Does the flow differs from the one in the video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpuGRZxhPtY&feature=youtu.be

Muttley
Same flow as the video. I click on approve, the pop up window goes but, the box is not populated.

sbluege
Do you see JavaScript errors somewhere?

If you like me to have a look at that behavior, please send credentials to svenbluege@gmail.com. Please note, that this is a public ticket, so don't post anything here.

Muttley
I'll create an admin account for you and email details.

Thanks very much for you time & help

sbluege
So far there is no new mail in my inbox.

sbluege
I'm not allowed to access the components options.

sbluege
The album selector on the event page works for me. Which browser do you use? Please try an anonymous browser window to make sure none of your installed extensions block functionality.

Muttley
Ok will try from different PC later tonight and will let you know.

thanks very much for checking it out

Muttley
Things have now gone from bad to worse.

accessed admin site from laptop, got the Google Auth Code and box got populated.
Clicked on save & close then got:

AN Error has occurred
call to undefined function curl_init()

now can't access Components - Event calendar, and the whole website is unavailable, Gives 404 error:(

sbluege
The backend still works? Can you enable my account in that case?

Muttley
your account is enabled

sbluege
I still can't access Event Gallery options. Please remove the Google Photos token. I'll provide a solution soon.

Your PHP version does not support curl. That is bad since it is necessary for server2server communication. I did not expect that to happen on any server. I'll add a workaround. If you provide the necessary permissions I can install a new version on that server.

Muttley
Strange, I should have latest PHP version.

About to go out, will have to sort our server access for you later.
or you could give me instructions, I'm running latest Ubuntu.

sbluege
I disabled the Picasa Update plugin for now. This should fix the error message. But it is necessary to activate it later on.

If you configure the server, you want to make sure http://php.net/manual/en/function.curl-init.php is enabled. Maybe you need to load the curl extension?

Muttley
Managed to get it all working :)

Thank you very much for all you time & support.

sbluege
Did you enable the Picasa update plugin again?
